Llywelyn W James BA(AS), MARIBA/ARB

Llywelyn is an Architect based in London and Hong Kong.

 

He holds a BA (Architecture Studies) with First Class Honours from The University of Hong Kong, where he was on the Dean's List; and an MA in architecture from the Royal College of Art.

He has held positions with Foster + Partners, DLN Architects, Arquitectonica, and Goods of Design, in Hong Kong, and has provided design solutions to bespoke projects.

He was selected as the RCA's nominee for the 3DReid 2017 Student Prize competition. His thesis project was featured by Dezeen in a short film and article entitled, 'RCA graduate proposes low-cost cantilevered homes to combat housing crisis' and on Metro News Canada entitled, 'Metro Cities: Could homes on stilts be the answer to Canada's housing woes?'

 

His research and practice have focused on digital design and fabrication as well as high density architecture.
